Take in the beauty of the forgotten corner of the southern Drakensberg mountains on horseback this summer holiday. Take a detour to Branksome Country House on the R393 between Barkly East and Rhodes for an unforgettable experience. You have the opportunity to explore the surrounds on our Birkhall horses, descended from famous Boerperde, Pruimpie and Geluk, born before the Boer War. The three-day ride has been designed to cover the 3 000 hectares in a clover leaf starting and ending at Branksome Country House to suit both inexperienced and experienced riders, with the terrain getting more challenging each day.

Each ride caters for a minimum of four riders and a maximum of eight.
